At Savannah Mall December 16: CNN’s Ali Velshi Boards the CNN Express for “Recovery Road”
Starting Sunday, CNN chief business correspondent, Ali Velshi, rides the CNN Express for a full week of reporting on how Americans are celebrating the holidays in a tough economy. Velshi's reporting from "Recovery Road" will air throughout the day beginning Dec. 14, during CNN's American Morning starting at 7 a.m. (ET). Beginning in Asheboro, North Carolina, Velshi will provide a recovery plan for a town struggling with unemployment and vanishing industry jobs and he will conclude in Jacksonville, Florida, where foreclosures have been among the highest in the nation.
Wednesday [Dec 16]: "Kids Say the Darndest Things" From one of Savannah's largest malls, Velshi will don a Santa hat and learn how some of America's youngsters and their parents have dealt with the worst economic recession since the Great Depression. The kids can see themselves on CNN on Thursday.

Celebrity Gift Wrapping Night at Savannah Mall to Benefit Greenbriar Children’s Center
SAVANNAH, Georgia (December 7, 2009) -- Helping Greenbriar Children's Center to celebrate "60 years of hope and love", Savannah Mall and area celebrities offer a lending hand with gift wrapping services to benefit one of Savannah's most respected youth-services providers.
- What: Holiday gift-wrapping by Savannah-area celebrities.
- When: Thursday, December 10th, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Where: The Greenbriar Gift Wrapping Center is located between the 24 Hour Family Fitness Center and The GAP, inside Savannah Mall.
